This information may also be transferred abroad; (c) If you apply for insurance, then we may process information (including medical information) about you (or your travelling party) and pass it to the insurers; (d) Information supplied by you may be processed by us for Statistical Analysis and or Market Research and may in certain instances be disclosed to our agents for the purposes of fraud prevention and/or debt collection; (e) To contact you via email, letter or phone with details of Classic Resorts’s or selected suppliers’ products and services, which may be of interest to you. Navigational Information For the purposes of content delivery, data protection and security, Classic Resorts may also collect information on (1) browser types and versions used, (2) operating system used, (3) referrer website, (4) sub-websites, (5) the date and time of access to our site, (6) an IP address, (7) the Internet service provider and (8) any other similar data and information that may be used in the event of attacks on our information technology systems. We require this information to deliver the content of our website correctly, optimize the content of our website and advertisements, and ensure the long-term viability and security of our IT systems. We request information from you during our booking process. Here you need to provide contact information (like name and address) and financial information (like credit card number and expiry date). The booking information that you provide to us about you (and your travelling party) may be passed on to the relevant Travel Providers of your travel arrangements or other persons necessary for the provision of your travel arrangements. The information may therefore be provided to public authorities such as customs or immigration if required by them, or as required by law. This applies to any sensitive information that you give to us such as passport details, religious beliefs, dietary requirements and disabilities. Where your holiday is outside the European Economic Area (EEA), controls on data protection in your destination may not be as strong as the legal requirements in Ireland. If we were not authorised to pass on this information to the relevant Travel Providers, whether in the EEA (European Economic Area) or not we would be unable to arrange your booking. In making this booking you consent to this information being passed onto the relevant parties. The booking information may be passed onto security or credit checking companies, or to our agents for the purpose of Fraud prevention and or debt collection. All information relating to holiday bookings will be retained in file format for a period of 7 years, in line with our legal obligation to retain such information for financial and contractual reasons. Any personal information you provide to us such as your name, address, telephone number and e-mail address will not be sold, or rented to any entities or individuals outside of Cassidy Travel. We take full responsibility for ensuring that proper security measures are in place to protect your information. We must pass the information on to the relevant suppliers of your travel arrangements such as your tour operator, airlines, hotels, transport companies etc. Usually your tour operator or other principal will pass this information onto their suppliers once we have provided it to them. The tour operator or other principal's use of your information is subject to their policy, both in respect of your booking and any future marketing, and is their responsibility. Please ask either us or them for a copy of this if you would like to see it.
We communicate with customers in relation to their current holiday bookings. This communication may be by email, conventional post, telephone, fax or other suitable medium. This communication is essential to the proper service of bookings and orders and must therefore take place regardless of the customers’ consent to other (non-booking-related) communication.
In the event of a change to personally identifiable information (such as postal address), our staff can make such a change on a user's behalf, subject to identity checks.
Except where an actual booking or other business transaction is concerned, we contact you only when consent is given. If you refuse or withdraw your consent, or if you choose not to provide us with any required Personal Information, we will be unable to provide you with your required travel arrangements.
We process and store your personal data for the legal period granted by the European legislator and Irish data protection laws. When this period expires, we routinely block, destroy or erase your data in accordance with legal requirements, as long as it is no longer necessary for the fulfillment of the contract or the initiation of a contract.
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we will ask you share contact information, and offer you the option to share further details about your preferences You will only receive our newsletter if you sign up using a valid email address and opt-in via a confirmation email which will be sent to the email address you provided. Our newsletters contain tracking pixels which allow us to analyse our campaigns. This means we may see if and when an email sent from Classic Resorts was opened by the recipient, and which links in the email were clicked.
